    Job Description:
    The Director of Production is responsible for the delivery of the product slate within a studio, ensuring game titles are launched on time, on quality and within prescribed budgets. They will own the game production at the studio, but will not be responsible for the studio functions as a whole. The Director of Production will be responsible for, and work with the Studio COO in collaboration with, project tracking and timely delivery of triple-AAA games.
    Core Responsibilities
    • Direct management of Studio Development Directors, handling the day-to-day project management responsibilities of each title in development
    • Partner with the Executive Producer to provide leadership to the various game production teams
    • Maintain the overall delivery plan for products including defining the project scope, reviewing delivery schedules, resource plans, monitoring key risks and driving appropriate mitigation plans, and motivating the team to achieve a common project goal
    • Provide team leadership and manage and motivate your teams for success; mentor and guide talent within the Studio
    • Partner with the creative leadership in the studio to optimize the trade-off between quality, time and cost for product issues while focusing on the company's business objectives
    • Understand and improve on the studio’s development processes that ultimately increases the efficiency and/or the quality of the products
    • Report progress, risks and issues at project, Studio and World-Wide levels in a timely and transparent manner
    • Establish effective Project Management processes and ensure these are working, followed and continuously refined; investigate and adopt tools and technology to best manage development processes
    • Think outside the box in a challenging and fluctuating environment; being resourceful and creating constructive and innovative solutions
    • Adopt and contribute to company-wide best practices, technologies and tools for gaining efficiencies during product development
    • Address challenging motivational situations and coach in areas of personal strength
    • Building a strong, effective relationship with other studios; effectively partner with peers outside of the team to establish alliances and aid in strategic planning and execution

    • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
    • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of THQ
    • Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people, process and systems
    • Experience in high-level and hands-on project management, with extensive analytical and forensic project planning skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 10 years of management experience supervising managers
    • A minimum of 5 years working experience in entertainment software development company
    • Minimum of a BA or BS, ideally with an MBA

    • Passionate gamer with experience playing a wide range of games, including consoles and MMOs
