We are looking for an experienced Boss Fight Programmer to help design, implement, and refine the overall gameplay experience for the Dark Millennium Online team. The Senior Gameplay Programmer will work closely with other Art and Design leads to insure that all gameplay functionality is carried through to completion and provides an incredible player experience.Core Responsibilities
Work in conjunction with designers and artists to shape gameplay
- Specific desire to implement highly-tuned, awesome boss fights
Implement gameplay related functionality including controls, AI, weapon behavior, camera movement, and game mechanics
Work with the other team members to iterate and refine gameplay systems
Contribute innovative and original ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development
Write robust, maintainable code
Maintain code performance through profiling and optimization
Skills & Qualifications
Has previously held a senior programming position on at least one shipped AAA console or PC title
Demonstrated proficiency in C++
- Work experience on a AAA MMO or Live Team a strong plus
Experience working with a cross-platform engine
A strong understanding of software Engineering practices
Proven leadership and mentorship abilities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven ability to successfully multitask under considerable pressure
An avid gamer with strong interest in pushing the industry forward creatively.
