Vigil Games is looking for an experienced UI Programmer to help design, implement, and polish the overall gameplay experience. The UI Programmer will work closely with other Art and Design leads to insure that all UI functionality is carried through to completion and provides an incredible player experience.Core Responsibilities
Implement UI related functionality, working in conjunction with designers and artists.
Work with the other team members to iterate and refine UI systems.
Contribute innovative and original ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development.
Write robust, maintainable code.
Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of game industry development experience, with at least 1 shipped title.
5+ years working with Flash to create highly user-driven interfaces
Experience with ActionScript 2 and 3
Experience animating components
Experience doing overall layout and working with artists and designers to match the vision
Demonstrated proficiency in C++.
Experience working with a cross-platform engine.
A strong understanding of software Engineering practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge and experience with Scaleform is a plus.
Experience with integration of video into interactive elements a plus
